First Debate: Should children do mindfulness meditation?
 

March 30th - Open to everyone. The Flame is working in collaberation with Coventry University. This event is part of a series of Evening Conversations open to anyone interested in debating science and its impact on society. Join us for an evening of discussion where leading mindfulness teachers and researchers will debate the pros and cons of children doing mindfulness meditation.

Author of books on spirituality, translator of Sanskrit scriptures, Yoga practitioner and teacher for over forty years

Author of The Buddha Pill: Can Meditation Change You?
and head of the Brain, Belief and Behaviour Lab at Coventry University

 

Dr. Peter Malinowski

Reader in Cognitive Neuroscience and Founder of the Meditation and Mindfulness Research Group at Liverpool John Moores 

 

Dr. Jonathan Jong

The Debate will be chaired by Dr Jonathan Jong, Research Fellow at Coventry University and author of Death Anxiety and Religious Belief

 

Ticket are available in advance online for £4. On the door, £5. Concessions are £3 online and £4 on the door.
