About the retreat

The OX Herder retreat is an exclusive retreat for those who have completed the Ox herder program. It brings together all that has been learned and experienced over the previous 10 months.

The Ox herder retreat is the gift at the end of our internal journey.

Reaching the source

Too many steps have been taken returning to the root and the source.

Better to have been blind and deaf from the beginning!

Dwelling in one’s true abode, unconcerned with that without –
the river flows tranquilly on and the flowers are red

Having reached the source, We prepare to enter the gateless gate.  We started with the desire to “know and tame the Ox”, to know, before I was born, where did my I come from? When I die, where will my I go?   
In sincerity we asked, "what am I?" 
We were gifted with the knowing of not knowing. Keeping this "not knowing" mind always and everywhere, is the gate to the gateless.

In walking, standing, sitting, lying down, speaking, being silent, moving, being still. At all times, in all places …. Not knowing we know 😉

 

About the retreat

This retreat is strictly limited to 8 participants. The cost of this retreat is £375 per person which includes accommodation (shared room basis), training, full-board, including dinner on the Friday evening, through to lunch on the Sunday (all vegetarian, regional food).

You will need to make your own way to the venue which is set in the national trust countryside in Shropshire. Parking available and collection from Church Stretton train station can be arranged.
